Velocity Pages: English Books at Your Level

You pick up a real English book, and by page two the dictionary is open more than the book. Velocity Pages is built for that situation: it adapts the book to your level. 📖

Why hard books wear you out

If more than five words in a hundred are unfamiliar, reading turns into decoding. The pleasure goes and the book stays unread.

Where books come from, and the law

The bot's description points to a separate channel with books to download. Use texts you have the right to read: works that are free to distribute, or books you bought.

Classics whose authors died more than 70 years ago are often in the public domain, while modern books are under copyright. Do not upload pirated copies. 📚

Reading so your English actually grows

1. Pick a book on a topic you like and start with short chapters.
2. Do not reach for a translation at once: finish the paragraph and guess the word.
3. Write down 5 to 10 words per session, no more.
4. Review them the next day.
5. Read 15 to 20 minutes daily.

Regularity beats marathons. A month of such sessions visibly widens your vocabulary. ⏳

When adaptation gets in the way

Simplified text helps at the start, but later it is time for the original. Raise the level step by step and try reading without hints.

Remember that AI adaptation may change an author's style and remove hard passages. For books you love, reread the original later when your language catches up.

Support and feedback

The app's description lists a separate support contact. If a book will not open, tell them the file format and describe what happened exactly, so the problem is found faster.
