About this App
You want a sticker pack of your own: a friend's face, a signature meme, a logo or your drawings. Telegram has an official bot for that, called Stickers. It builds packs from your pictures and shows usage stats for them. 🎨
This is Telegram's own utility, used by millions of people. Start with /help for the full list of commands.
Pick the pack type
First decision: which kind of pack you need. Each type has its own command.
- /newpack creates a static pack from PNG or WEBP files.
- /newvideo builds a pack of WEBM video stickers.
- /newanimated makes an animated pack in TGS format.
- /newmasks creates a static set of photo masks.
- /newemojipack creates an emoji set.
Beginners should start with a static pack. Animation and video need prepared files.
Your first pack, step by step
- Send /newpack and choose a name for the pack.
- Send an image as a file, not as a photo, so transparency survives.
- Assign an emoji that will surface the sticker when you type it.
- Repeat for the other stickers and finish with /publish.
- Choose a short name for the pack's link.
Once published, you can share the pack with friends or add it for yourself. ✅
Editing without starting over
You do not have to rebuild a pack if something goes wrong. The bot has commands that fix finished packs:
- /addsticker adds a sticker to an existing pack.
- /editsticker changes the emoji or coordinates.
- /replacesticker swaps a sticker for another.
- /ordersticker changes the order.
- /delsticker removes extras.
Emoji packs have similar commands to add, replace, reorder and delete. 🔧
Which images work
Telegram has technical requirements. A static sticker needs one side of 512 pixels, and a transparent background is best. Video stickers are limited in length and file size, so they are usually compressed and trimmed to a few seconds. Always check exact requirements in the bot's help or Telegram's documentation.
Draw big, with clear outlines, because stickers are often viewed small. Tiny text and thin lines turn to mush on a phone screen. 🔍
Copyright matters
Make stickers from your own drawings and photos. Other people's images, film frames and brand characters cannot be used without permission, and a pack can be removed after a rights holder complaint. Publish photos of people only with their consent.
If you plan to sell packs or use them in advertising, check the licences for every asset beforehand.
If the stickers are just for you and your friends, the process takes minutes and the result stays in Telegram for good. 🚀
