About this App
A rare NFT can cost as much as a car, and most people cannot buy one whole. Shardify offers another way in: split the NFT into tokens and own just a share. The mini app runs inside Telegram on the TON blockchain 🧩
The scheme is simple. You put an NFT in and get tokens back. Put the tokens back, and you get the NFT.
What fractionalization means
An NFT is one item and cannot be cut into pieces. Fractionalization works around that: the NFT goes into storage on a smart contract, and a set of interchangeable tokens is issued in return. Each token represents a share of the original NFT.
Tokens like these are called wrapped. They can be bought and sold on decentralized exchanges, or gathered back to redeem the NFT itself.
Two directions: take apart, put together
The platform works both ways, and that is the core mechanic.
- Split. Add an NFT from a supported collection to storage and receive that collection's tokens.
- Reassemble. Collect the required amount of tokens and return them to get the NFT back.
- Buy a share. If you do not need the whole NFT, buy some tokens and watch the price.
- Sell a share. Tokens can be sold without selling the full NFT.
Who a share makes sense for
If you want exposure to a collection on a limited budget, a share lowers the entry price. For the owner of a rare NFT, fractionalization is a way to take cash out in parts without parting with the whole asset 💡
The platform began by tokenizing pre-market vouchers of a coin and later added the collection of anonymous Telegram numbers. That collection has a token whose price follows the value of the numbers themselves.
Getting going
- Open the Shardify mini app in Telegram.
- Connect your TON wallet. The app does not need your recovery phrase and should never ask for it.
- Pick a collection from the supported list.
- Decide what to do: split an NFT, buy tokens or reassemble an NFT.
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet and check the fee.
Fees depend on the pool and may be charged in TON or in the issued tokens. Check the total in the wallet window before you confirm.
How to judge a share price
A token price does not have to equal the NFT value divided by the number of shares. The market can apply a discount or a premium, and the gap shows up in the pool. Compare the token price with the price of the whole NFT before buying.
Watch trading volume as well: the higher it is, the easier it is to get in and out. A good habit before any deal is to write down the price at which you plan to sell, and stick to it when emotions run high 📊
What can go wrong
Share tokens are a risky asset. Prices follow demand, and liquidity for small collections can be thin, so selling quickly at the price you want is not always possible ⚠️
There is technical risk too. Your NFT sits on a smart contract, and bugs happen even in serious projects. Do not put in money whose loss you could not take.
Finally, watch out for fakes. Telegram is full of bots with similar names that ask you to verify a wallet or enter a recovery phrase. Open the app only from the project's official channel. This is not investment advice, and no income is guaranteed.
