You want to chat, but as your character and not as yourself: an elf scout, a student at a magic academy, a detective in a rainy city. Roleplayer Chat connects random people in an anonymous dialog, and the community here is tuned for roleplay.

The bot runs right in Telegram, and getting started comes down to setting up a profile.

Who this chat is for

The bot's description carries a note: the chat is intended for RP, meaning roleplay accounts. So the people you meet expect a game, not "hi, how are you?".

If you simply want to meet someone without a role, other formats may suit you better. Here, the skill of picking up a plot is what counts. 🎭

Seven commands that matter

• /search. Find a partner for a one-on-one dialog.
• /search3. Find a three-person chat. Handy when a scene needs three characters at once.
• /next. Close the current dialog and look for a new partner right away.
• /stop. End the dialog and leave the queue.
• /settings. Update your profile.
• /vip. Get VIP status.
• /referral. Invite people and get VIP.

Your first game, step by step

1. Fill in your profile through /settings.
2. Run /search and wait for the bot to find someone.
3. Set the scene. One or two lines about who you are and where you stand give your partner something to grab.
4. Not a match? Press /next and look for someone else, which is perfectly fine.

How to play so your partner stays

Roleplay stands on a shared story. A few habits keep your partner from leaving after the second message:

• Agree on a genre. Fantasy, slice of life, mystery. One question at the start saves time.
• Leave hooks. End a reply so that your partner has something to answer.
• Do not control their hero. Describe your own actions and leave your partner's decisions to them.
• Keep messages reasonable. A paragraph is fine, a twenty-line wall is not.

The three-person chat

The /search3 command gathers a group of three participants. This format fits scenes with a company, such as an adventure or a mystery with several suspects.

The risk is higher too: with more opinions, it is harder to agree on rules. State what the game is about right away. 🐤

Safety rules 🛡️

Anonymity cuts both ways. You do not know who is on the other end, and they do not know you. That helps the game but calls for care.

• Do not drop the role to share personal data. Real name, school, address and phone are not needed for a game.
• Do not send face photos. Least of all explicit ones, since they can be saved and used against you.
• A game should never pressure you. If the plot turns unpleasant, end the dialog with /stop.
• Adult themes are for adults. Minors should stay away from such scenes.

The paid status

VIP comes through purchase or through invites with /referral. Do not pay strangers or send money "for access" because a chat partner asked, as that is a common trick. Do everything inside the bot only. 🔒
