About this App
You land in Bali and quickly learn that nothing is close: the beach, the cafes and the temples are all far apart, and taxis cost a lot. What remains is finding a bike from a decent owner without paying for surprises. This bot exists for that. 🛵
It is a helper bot made by the team behind a large Russian-speaking Bali community chat. Its purpose is to help you quickly find a bike to rent, or list your own, on the island.
Two sides of one deal
Two kinds of people meet in the bot. Some look for transport for a week or a month, others want to rent out a scooter and receive requests.
Such ads used to sink in the stream of chat messages. The bot gathers them in one place so you do not have to scroll through conversations.
What the menu offers
- /start. The beginning: from there you go to search or to listing a bike.
- /help. Calls support if something goes wrong.
- /lang. Picks the interface language.
The bot's description promises a fast and convenient path. Specific filters and terms are best seen inside, since they can change.
Check this before handing over a deposit
Renting a scooter on the island is an everyday deal with typical pitfalls. The bot introduces you to an owner, but the details are yours to verify.
- Bike condition. Brakes, tires, lights, indicators. Photograph every scratch before you ride away.
- Bike papers. The registration documents you are asked to carry should exist.
- Helmet. It is mandatory and should fit well. It helps when two helmets come with the rental.
- Deposit terms. What is held, what is returned and when. Agree in advance, in writing.
- Insurance. Ask what is covered in a fall or theft and what is not.
Licenses and road rules
Riding a motorbike requires a license of the right category. Foreigners usually need an international driving permit with the motorcycle class open, and in practice riding without one can easily lead to a fine.
Traffic on the island drives on the left, the flow is dense and turns can be sudden. If your experience is thin, start with calm routes and stay off the road in heavy rain.
Also check that your travel insurance does not exclude motorcycles. It is a common clause that people discover too late.
If you own a bike
Renting out through a chat and a bot brings a stream of clients and some extra risk. A written agreement, photos at handover and clear rules for the deposit and damage are good practice.
- Describe the bike honestly. Model, year, condition, mileage.
- Record the handover. Photos and a short video protect both sides.
- Never hand over a bike without a deposit and the renter's details.
Be careful with prepayment
Public chats and bots attract scammers. Warning signs: a price far below market, a request to send money in advance without meeting, pressure and rush.
Pay after you inspect the bike and prefer paying on pickup. If something feels off, tap /help and tell the team.
