About this App
A stranger messages you with big promises and the account looks brand new. Or you are simply curious when you joined Telegram and how many years have passed. 🕰️ RegDateBot (clone) tells you the approximate registration date of an account.
The bot builds an estimate from data every profile has and answers in a few seconds. The key word is "approximate": a tool like this has no exact date.
Where the date comes from
Every Telegram account has a numeric ID. It is assigned when the profile is created and, on average, grows over time: newer accounts get larger numbers.
The bot compares the number with known points in time and shows roughly when the account appeared. IDs are not handed out in strict order though, so the margin of error can reach months.
Two ways to get an answer
- By numeric ID. Send the bot the account number. This is the most reliable route.
- With a forwarded message. Forward a person's message to the bot and it reads the account. This can fail when the user restricts sharing data from their messages.
If forwarding does not work, do not worry. Find the ID another way and send the digits.
When the registration date helps
The age of an account does not prove anyone's honesty, but it gives you something to think about. Typical situations:
- Suspicious offers. A self-described "admin" or "manager" writes to you, and the account is a few weeks old.
- Chats and communities. Mass joins and spam often come from freshly created profiles.
- Curiosity. Check when you first signed up and how many years you have used the messenger. 🎂
- Checks before a deal. A seller says they have worked for years, but the account appeared last week.
What to expect from the result
A new account does not make someone a scammer, since plenty of honest people just arrived. And an old profile may have been sold or hacked.
Treat the date as one signal among several. Look at the conversation history, what is being offered, and whether anyone asks for money or codes. Never share an SMS code, no matter who is asking. ⚠️
Privacy and good manners
The bot does not reveal personal data: no name, phone number, or address. It shows only an age estimate based on the ID number.
Still, use it with care. Do not use the result to pressure someone or dig into their biography. A reasonable purpose is to weigh the risk of talking to them.
If the answer looks odd
- The date seems too early or too late. It is an ID-based estimate, so errors happen.
- No answer to a forwarded message. Try sending the numeric ID.
- The bot is silent. Press /start or try later, since load can be high.
The takeaway is simple: this tool gives a rough guide, not a verdict. Use it as a quick check and decide based on several signs.
