Quiz Bot: Your Own Telegram Quiz

About this App

Want to test friends on a favorite show, run a warm up in class or wake up a sleepy group chat? You don't need a separate site with a builder. Quiz Bot assembles a quiz right in Telegram, and people play it in the same messenger. 🧠

What you can build

A quiz is a set of multiple choice questions. You can attach a picture or extra text to a question and set a time limit.

That gives you either a light, funny check or a stricter test where each question lasts only a few seconds.

The commands you need

  • /newquiz. Starts a new quiz. The bot walks you through it step by step and you just answer.
  • /quizzes. Lists all your quizzes so you can come back to them later.
  • /stop. Ends the active quiz if you need to interrupt the game.

There is also /lang to change the interface language and /help for a short guide.

Where to send the finished game

A finished quiz can be shared to groups. Members answer right in the chat and everyone sees who did best.

The other option is to invite people to take the quiz individually, one on one with the bot. That suits cases where you don't want others to watch someone's mistakes.

If someone sent you a link

When a friend shares a quiz link and you land in the bot, tap Start and the game begins. No sign up, no settings, no forms. 🎯

Writing a quiz people finish

  1. One question, one fact. Ambiguous wording annoys players.
  2. Believable wrong answers. If three options are obviously absurd, the game is dull.
  3. Mix the difficulty. Open with an easy question so people get hooked.
  4. Use pictures. A "where is this place" question with a photo beats a verbal description.
  5. Add a timer when you want excitement. For learning, leave more time.

Example: movie night

Say you have friends over for a film. Write ten questions about plots and actors, add stills, and set a short timer. Ten minutes later you have a mini tournament with a winner.

Want it harder? Make a second round with tougher questions as a separate quiz. That keeps a series of games tidy and the results apart.

Other uses

Teachers use quizzes to check a topic quickly. Organizers of meetups and communities run them to liven up a discussion. Bloggers hold contests among followers. 🎉

Before launching in a big group, play your own quiz first. It makes typos and questions with two valid answers easy to spot.
