Imagine a character who answers you, jokes in your style and lives in your pocket. MAIA.Me does that inside Telegram: you create an AI character, chat with it and show it to friends. 🎭

It opens as a mini app, so there is nothing separate to install.

Your own hero instead of a stock template

The app promises three things: building AI-based characters, sharing them with friends and letting your imagination run. You decide who the companion is: a sarcastic mentor, the lead of your story, an imaginary friend.

The more detail you give, the more consistently the character speaks. That rule holds for every character-based AI.

How to design a character that stays fun

1. Give a name and one clear role: a ship captain, a detective, a grumpy cook.
2. Describe the personality with two or three traits, not ten.
3. Add a manner of speech: short sentences, favorite phrases, irony.
4. Write a backstory and a goal so the conversation has somewhere to go.
5. Try a few test lines and refine the description.

Contradictory traits ("very kind and very cruel") confuse the model and the dialogue drifts.

What else a character can do for you

• Story writing: act out a scene and keep the best lines for your draft.
• Language practice: ask the hero to speak only the language you are learning.
• Rehearsing conversations: a job interview, a negotiation, a hard talk.
• Playing with friends: send your hero over and compare how it answers different people.

Keep in mind what you are talking to

A character is not a person. It can state something false with confidence, invent a fact or get the math wrong. Do not treat its answers as medical, legal or financial advice.

Chatting with a hero is easy to get lost in. Set yourself a time limit, especially if the companion starts replacing real conversations.

Ideas for your first evening

Start simple: build a hero from a favorite book and ask them to retell the plot in their own voice. Then swap the role and ask something ordinary, like how they would plan a vacation route.

That quickly shows whether the character holds its personality. If not, keep editing the description until replies feel recognizable. A good test: read a line without a name and guess who is speaking.

Personal data and sharing

Never type passwords, card numbers, documents or your address to a character. What you write is processed on the service side, so read the privacy policy before you begin.

When you share a hero with friends, think about what the description and the chat history reveal. Keep personal details out of the description.

If the app misbehaves

Mini apps freeze now and then. Close the window and open it again, update Telegram and check your connection. If the error repeats, look for support contacts in the bot profile or its community.

For ideas, borrow from books, games and films you love. A hero with a recognizable temperament comes alive faster than one invented from scratch. ✨
