About this App
Your group is growing, and with new members come mass mailings, invites to other chats and links to who knows where. Cleaning it all up by hand gets old within a week. LittleGuardian takes that chore off your plate 🛡️
It is a moderation bot for Telegram groups. It watches messages, filters junk and helps admins keep order while you focus on the actual conversation.
Connected in three steps
Setup is shorter than it sounds. There is nothing to install, everything happens inside Telegram.
- Add the bot to your group. Find it through search and pick your group.
- Make it an administrator with full rights. Without that it cannot delete messages or restrict offenders.
- Send any message in the group. The bot then recognizes the chat and starts working with it.
After that, group options change through the /settings command or through the web panel that the /login command leads to.
What the bot checks for you
The protections target the usual troubles of large chats. Turn on only what your community needs.
- Spam and flood. Limits a burst of identical messages from a single member.
- Invites and dangerous links. The filter blocks ads for other groups and suspicious addresses.
- Files and media. Attachments are scanned for viruses, and explicit or violent images, gifs and stickers can be detected.
- Languages. You can block messages in languages that do not belong in your group.
- Log. A detailed list of punishments and admin actions.
Machine-learning spammer detection is also part of the feature list. Like any automatic filter it sometimes gets things wrong, so skim the log from time to time.
Commands you will actually use
The bot understands a handful of simple commands, and regular members find some of them handy too.
- /rules shows the group rules, if the admin has set them.
- /link returns the group link when one is configured.
- /lastseen followed by a username hints when that person was last online.
- /settings opens the group options for admins.
- /start prints a welcome message and a short guide.
A greeting that sets the tone
A person's first minutes in a group matter. If they see a clear note with the rules, you get fewer questions and fewer violations.
In the settings you can write a custom greeting. Say what the group is about, what is banned and where to ask for help. Three or four lines get read far more often than a long rulebook.
Who the bot leaves alone
Group owners and administrators are never moderated. That makes sense: the bot guards the chat against outsiders, not against the people running it.
One more detail: until you switch it on in the settings, the bot stays inactive. Set your rules first, then enable protection, so members are not surprised by sudden bans ⚙️
Keeping filters under control
Strict settings work well against mass mailings but can catch real people. A few practical tips:
- Start with mild limits and review the log after a couple of days.
- Tell members the rules before the first penalties land.
- Keep at least two human moderators for tricky cases.
- In a small group, give the bot only the rights it needs.
The bot helps, but people still make the decisions about a community 👥
Price and who runs it
According to the management site, basic moderation stays free for any group with no member limit. Advanced features may be paid, so check the terms in the panel.
The control panel belongs to a separate service, and the bot is designed to be managed through it.
