SPEEDBAG: Freight Dispatcher Bot

bot • Local Services

About this App

The truck stands empty because there is no load for the return trip. Or the opposite: the cargo is ready, but no carrier turns up. SPEEDBAG calls itself a personal dispatcher in Telegram: it looks for loads for drivers and for carriers for people who ship. 🚚

You start the bot with /start, and help and general information are available through /help and /info.

Who the dispatcher is for

A freight exchange has two sides, and the bot addresses both. The cargo owner needs a carrier, the carrier needs an order. They used to be matched by calls, ads and chats, and part of that can now happen in the messenger.

  • If you ship cargo. You describe what to move and where, and look for someone who will take it.
  • If you are a carrier. You look for orders that fit your body type and route.
  • If you are a broker. You watch offers and connect the parties.

Preparing a request

The more detail you give about the cargo, the fewer follow-up questions and the faster a carrier appears. Think it through first.

  1. Route. From where to where, and whether door delivery is needed.
  2. Cargo. What it is, weight, volume and dimensions, how it is packed.
  3. Vehicle type. Tilt trailer, reefer, flatbed, whether a tail lift is required.
  4. Dates. Loading date and the desired delivery date.
  5. Payment terms. Bank transfer, cash, with or without VAT.

What to check when choosing a carrier

Freight is no stranger to fraud. The classic trick: a "driver" asks for a prepayment to reserve a truck and vanishes. Transparent data is a good sign of reliability, a quick discount is not.

Ask for the company name or sole trader details, check them in public registers, and confirm the plate number and the driver's data. Never release cargo without a signed transport order.

Where trouble usually starts

  • Prepaying a stranger. The most common way to lose money.
  • Vehicle swap. A different truck arrives than promised and the papers do not match.
  • Missing documents. Without a waybill and a contract, arguing about lost or damaged cargo is hard.
  • A price that is too low. A rate under the market often hides extra charges or a scam.

Speeding up a deal

Dispatchers and carriers are busy people, and replies come faster when the request is clear. Write briefly and to the point, name a contact person and a convenient time for a call.

If the cargo is unusual, say so at once: oversize, hazardous, temperature control. That saves hours of messaging. Find out in advance who handles loading and unloading, and whether the receiver has a ramp or a forklift. Many disputes start with exactly these small things.

Insurance and paperwork

If the cargo is expensive or fragile, insure it separately and photograph its condition at loading. That helps in a dispute. 📎

Keep your correspondence and all agreements. Put the key terms in writing in the order itself, not in a voice message.

Using the bot wisely

Treat the bot as a starting point: it helps you find a contact but does not replace checking a partner. Read the help inside to understand how it works.

The project's channel and its administrator are listed in the bot's profile. You can find instructions and ask questions there. ✅

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the SPEEDBAG bot do?▼
It presents itself as a personal dispatcher: it helps find loads for carriers and carriers for cargo owners. You start it with /start, get help through /help and general information through /info.
Is it for cargo owners or for carriers?▼
Both. A cargo owner looks for someone to move the shipment, a carrier looks for a load that fits the route and body type. Brokers can follow the offers too.
How do I avoid scammers when looking for a carrier?▼
Do not prepay a stranger, and ask for the company or sole trader details, the plate number and the driver's data. Check the details in public registers and sign a transport order. A rate that is too low often means a scam.
Do I need cargo insurance?▼
For expensive or fragile cargo, common sense says yes. Insure it separately, photograph it at loading and keep the paperwork. Without these, proving damage is much harder.
