ghclone3bot: Group Moderator Bot

Bot • Moderation & Anti-Spam

About this App

A group grows, and with it come spammers, link-dropping bots and the same questions asked again and again. Cleaning it up by hand wears you out fast. The ghclone3bot (a Group Help clone) takes the moderation chores on: you add it to a chat and configure it from a menu.

It has only a few commands: /start launches the bot, /help explains the commands, /settings opens group settings 🛡️

What a bot like this does in your chat

Bots in the Group Help family are configured through button menus instead of long commands. An admin taps through the options and sees what is switched on.

The usual toolkit for this kind of bot: flood and spam protection, a captcha for newcomers, word and link filters, welcome messages and rules, scheduled posts.

Your first ten minutes

  1. Open the bot in a private chat and press /start.
  2. Add it to your group and promote it to admin.
  3. Give it the rights it needs: deleting messages and banning members.
  4. Open /settings and go through the sections one by one.

Without admin rights the bot cannot delete anything, so do not skip step three.

A join captcha is the setting that pays off most

Most spam comes from automated accounts. If a newcomer must tap a button or solve a simple task within a time limit, those accounts drop out on their own.

Keep the time limit short but fair, so real people have time and stuck requests do not pile up 👋

Admin rights and a tidy team

Big groups often have several moderators. Give each one only the rights the job needs: deleting messages, banning, pinning.

  • New moderator. Start with deleting and warnings, add banning later.
  • Temporary helper. Grant rights for a week, then remove them.
  • Owner. Keep control of the bot's settings for yourself.

What to know about clones

A clone mirrors the original's functions but runs as a separate bot with its own settings. Your group's setup lives wherever you added the bot, so think about who you trust with the chat.

The bot receives admin rights. Do not give it more than needed, and check which permissions it asks for ⚠️

What Telegram itself offers

Groups of 200 members or more get Telegram's built-in spam protection, and slow mode limits how often one person can post. These settings pair well with a bot.

Rules people actually read

Write the rules as short points: what is allowed, what is not, and what follows a violation. Nobody finishes a long charter.

Pin the rules and show them to newcomers when they join. Fewer arguments will start, and a moderator can point to a specific line.

A bot does not replace a person: the group's rules and the human side of the community stay with you 🙂

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add the bot to a group?▼
Open the bot's profile, tap Add to Group, pick the chat and confirm. Then promote the bot to admin and give it the rights to delete messages and ban members. After that open /settings and set up each section.
Which commands does the bot have?▼
Three main ones: /start launches the bot, /help explains the commands, /settings opens the group settings. Most of the work happens through buttons in the settings menu.
What should I set up first in a small group?▼
Start with a join captcha, a link filter and a written set of rules. That is usually enough to remove most spam. Switch on the rest as the chat grows and you see which problems keep coming back.
The bot does not remove spam. What now?▼
Check that the bot is an admin with the right to delete messages. Then make sure the relevant filter is switched on in /settings. If nothing helps, restart the setup with /start in a private chat.
