About this App
The weekend is close and you have no plans. Event listings are scattered across dozens of websites and channels, and by the time you find something, it is over. The bot CHATIK Events pulls the search into one chat and shows what is happening in your chosen city. 🗓️
The team behind Chatik built it with a clear aim: to find and create events in different countries quickly and conveniently.
Five commands and you are set
Setup takes under a minute because the bot has only five commands:
- /start. Launch and first introduction.
- /city. Choose the city the bot searches in.
- /lang. Choose the interface language.
- /sub. Choose a subscription.
- /help. Call support.
The city command matters most. A listing with no location is useless, because a concert in another country will hardly help you.
Find or create
The bot works both ways. You can find an event and attend it, or you can propose your own: a meetup, a party, a workshop, a sports gathering.
For an organizer it is a chance to reach people who are looking for something to do. For a guest it is a way to stop depending on random ads in the feed.
Subscription: read the terms
The command list includes a subscription choice. What each option includes and what it costs is shown inside the bot, so look before you pay. If there are several paid options, compare them against what you need: browsing, creating events, or promotion.
Pay only inside Telegram and only after you see what you are paying for. A transfer to a stranger's card for a "spot in the listing" is fraud.
Finding your event
- Start the bot with /start.
- Pick a city with /city and a language with /lang.
- Browse the nearest events.
- Read the description: time, place, format, age limit.
- If the organizer gave a contact, confirm the details before you leave home.
Avoiding duds
An open listing is good because anyone can add an event. That is also its weakness. Not all announcements are equally reliable, and a description like "meeting of like-minded people" can hide a course sales pitch.
- Check the organizer. Is there a profile and a record of past events?
- Do not prepay strangers. Especially by transfer to a personal card.
- Pick a public place. For a first meeting with new people, go in the daytime and bring an acquaintance.
If you want to host your own
A good description answers five questions: what, where, when, for whom, and how much. State whether registration is needed and how many people fit. The more specific the text, the fewer last-minute cancellations.
If the event is online, say so plainly and explain how to join.
Languages and countries
The bot claims to work in different countries and lets you choose a language, so it is handy while traveling or moving. Arrive in a new city, pick it with /city, and the listing updates.
If your country or city is missing, write to support through /help.
