Edgeware Bot: Alerts for Your Network

Bot • Analytics & Signals

About this App

Holding EDG and want to know when a transfer lands or a vote begins? Opening a blockchain explorer a hundred times a day is a chore. Edgeware Bot pushes those events to Telegram on its own. 🔔

The bot is built by the Ryabina validator for the Edgeware network. It can track any event on that network.

Two ready-made alert sets

The bot comes with preconfigured alerts to start with. There are two types, and both help token holders.

  • Address: notices about what happens with your address.
  • Democracy: events tied to network governance and voting.

No manual setup is needed. Pick the set you want. For most people that is enough.

Advanced mode for your own rules

If the ready alerts fall short, switch on advanced mode. It lets you build custom notifications for the network events you care about.

That fits people who watch specific operations or network activity overall. It is nice when an alert covers exactly what matters to you and not everything at once.

Network stats in one command

The /stats command shows Edgeware network statistics. It is a fast way to glance at the network without hunting through websites. 📊

The /start command launches the bot and shows the menu.

Nominating the Ryabina validators

The bot's authors invite you to nominate their validators on Edgeware, Polkadot and Kusama. Nominating means lending your stake to a validator that confirms blocks on the network.

This carries risk. Before nominating anyone, study the validator's commission and reputation, and do not treat rewards as guaranteed. 💡

  1. Check the validator's commission and track record.
  2. Learn how long tokens stay locked and how to get them back.
  3. Remember that if a validator misbehaves, part of the rewards can be lost.
  4. Never give your seed phrase to the bot or to anyone else.

Safety first

Address alerts need only a public address. The bot does not need a private key or a seed phrase, and you must never type them in. 🛡️

If someone in a direct message asks for a key "to connect", that is a scammer. Make sure you opened the exact bot the validator lists on its official page.

Who it fits

EDG holders who want to watch a wallet without constant checking. Voters who do not want to miss the agenda.

If you are new to blockchain, begin with the ready alerts and the /stats command. It is an easy way to see how the network lives.
