Школьный Дневник: grades in Telegram

Nearly every school has an electronic diary, but nobody wants to open its website every single day. Школьный Дневник moves the useful part into Telegram: the bot sends homework, grades, the schedule and a ranking of your classmates. 📚

You connect your account once. After that, everything sits in a chat you already keep open on your phone.

Five commands cover it

• /login signs in to your e-diary account.
• /profile shows account information.
• /settings opens the settings.
• /help lists all commands.
• /exit signs you out when access is no longer needed.

The set is small, so you can figure it out in a couple of minutes, even if you are a parent who rarely uses Telegram.

Which diaries connect

According to the project's website, the bot can sign in to 32 electronic diaries. Together they cover almost all of Russia and some CIS countries.

That matters because each region runs its own system. Before creating an account, check in the bot if your school's diary is on the list.

How the class ranking works

The ranking is built from classmates' average grades. To appear in the list, a person has to be invited into the bot. 🏆

It is opt-in: without an invitation your grades do not land in anyone else's list. Still, decide first if your class is ready to compare averages. For some it is motivation, for others extra stress.

Homework without hunting through a site

You know the evening: you urgently need to know what was assigned in physics. Instead of logging into a website, you open a chat and read the homework. The schedule and fresh grades are in the same place. ⏰

Parents get a new grade right away rather than at a weekly diary check. A talk about a bad mark goes calmer when it happens the same day.

The project also runs a news channel about education in Russia and about the bot itself. Bug reports and mailing questions go to an administrator whose contact is in the bot's profile.

Keeping your password safe

Signing in needs the login and password of your electronic diary, so caution is a must. 🔐

• Take the link from a trusted place. School bots have many similar names, and a fake can steal passwords.
• Use a password only for the diary. If it matches your email password, change it.
• Sign out with /exit. If your phone goes to someone else or you stop using the bot, this closes access.
• Tell your child the same. A school password is not for strangers' chats.
