About this App
Local news, rumors, classifieds and discussions are scattered across thousands of regional channels, and no one can subscribe to them all. Ciklopo searches and monitors posts among thousands of such channels, with no need to subscribe to any of them. 🔎
It is not a messenger or a chat companion, as older descriptions said. Ciklopo works as a search engine over public channels and as a topic aggregator.
What Ciklopo does
The profile states two things:
- OSINT search and monitoring. Searching posts among thousands of regional channels without subscribing to each one.
- AI topics aggregator. A selection of news topics assembled by a neural network.
You start the bot with /start and then work in the Mini App. For region coverage and terms of use, check the bot itself. 🗞️
What OSINT means
OSINT stands for open-source intelligence. It means working only with what is already published openly: news, posts and comments in public channels.
Journalists, analysts, researchers and ordinary people who need to understand a topic use this approach. Private chats and personal correspondence are not part of it.
Who it helps
- Journalists and bloggers. See quickly what a specific region is discussing.
- Marketers. Watch mentions of a brand or competitors.
- Residents. Learn about local events without following dozens of channels.
- Researchers. Find primary sources and test versions of events.
Searching with purpose
- Define the topic. The more specific the query, the less noise.
- Narrow the region. Regional channels give a local view.
- Compare sources. One message is not yet a fact.
- Check the date. Old posts are easy to mistake for fresh ones.
- Save what you find. Keep notes and screenshots for work.
Checking what you find
Regional channels often retell each other. Three channels with the same text are not three confirmations: they may have taken the story from one place.
Look for the primary source: an official statement, a document, a recording from the scene. Check when the post came out and whether the author edited it later.
Be extra careful with urgent leaks and screenshots without a source. Waiting an hour to compare versions is usually better than forwarding at once. 🧭
If you use material in your work, credit where it came from and do not pass off someone else's find as your own.
Limits and ethics
Data from public channels is still other people's text. Do not use it for harassment, for collecting personal information about specific people or for pressuring anyone.
Do not publish other people's addresses, phone numbers or photos, even when they appear in public posts. In some countries this carries liability. ⚖️
Mind quality too: channel posts can be biased, inaccurate or promotional. Verify claims across several sources.
Good monitoring habits
Keep a list of keywords and review it weekly. Add synonyms and spelling variants, since authors write differently.
Do not try to read everything. Limit yourself to a few topics, or the news flow will tire you faster than it helps. 🎯
