Telegram's rules for circles

Telegram shows a circle as a square video with a 1:1 aspect ratio and a length of up to 60 seconds. The circle is cut from the center of the frame.

That means the face or main subject has to sit in the center. Corners are cropped by the round mask, so anything at the edges of a widescreen clip is lost. ⭕

Judge the clip before sending: if the edges hold important details, re-edit or film it again.

Getting a better result

The quality of a circle depends on the source video. The bot changes the format and does not improve the picture.

• Film close. A face in the middle of the frame looks most natural in a circle.
• Mind the light. A dark video will not get brighter after conversion.
