OkSearch Bot: Telegram Search

Finding the right channel or chat in Telegram is hard: built-in search shows little, and other people's lists go stale fast. OkSearch Bot fixes that in one line. Send a keyword and get a list of groups, channels, bots and individual posts 🔍

The bot answers right in the chat, so there is nothing to install.

What it searches

The bot's motto is "Search Anything, Anytime on Telegram with One Bot". In practice the result is a list of clickable links with filter buttons by content type.

The bot menu has seven commands. Two or three cover most needs.

• /rand sends 10 random links when you want something new.
• /export saves search results to a CSV file.
• /more shows extra information about the bot.

Searching so that you actually find things

Type short keywords, not full sentences. "morning yoga" works better than "can anyone suggest a chat about morning yoga for beginners".

1. Enter a topic in one or two words.
2. Pick a filter: groups, channels or bots.
3. If results are too broad, narrow them: city, language, level.
4. To work with results in a table, export them with /export.

A web version for desktop searching

If typing queries in a browser suits you better, the project has a website that searches groups, channels, bots, posts, messages, videos and images. It states that all searches are anonymous 🕶

The bot also belongs to a family of search bots with identical features. If one does not respond, another often works.

What to remember about results

Telegram is open, so any public chat can land in the results. Some are abandoned, some stuffed with spam, and some exist only for advertising. Treat links with care.

• Check activity: fresh messages, live discussions, sensible rules.
• Do not follow links from strangers' direct messages after joining a found group.
• Never share login codes or card data, even if an "admin" asks.
• Do not trust promises of easy income in channels you find.
