About this App
A group of forty people cannot decide where to meet on Saturday. Someone writes "I don't mind", another votes for three options at once, and nobody counts the result. Master PollBot gathers every vote into one poll with a clear results view. 📊
We cover the poll types it offers, how to share them and where Telegram's own polls already do the job.
When built-in polls are not enough
Telegram has had polls for years without any bot. The Polls 2.0 update added visible votes, multiple answers and quiz mode. For most chats that is plenty.
Master PollBot matters when the task is bigger: rating on a scale, sign-up slots, a board of suggestions, closing and reopening a vote. The bot calls itself the best poll bot on Telegram. 😉
Voting formats you can pick
According to the bot's update logs, it has offered these types:
- Regular vote. A choice between several options.
- Rating. A score from 1 to 10 that produces an average.
- Slot sign-up. Participants claim places, handy for shifts and meetings.
- Board. People add their own options and comment on them.
- Quiz. A question with a correct answer.
The bot has added types over time, so check the current list in the menu after /start.
Anonymous or by name
You can choose whether votes are visible. Named voting suits a work group that needs to know who is coming. Anonymous voting removes pressure on a sensitive topic.
If you switch the type after the poll starts, remember it is irreversible: per the bot's logs, "turn into anonymous" cannot be undone. Decide in advance, not in the middle of voting. 🔒
Sharing the poll and reading results
- Open the bot and press /start.
- Pick a poll type, then enter the question and the answer options.
- Check the settings: vote visibility, deadline, vote limit.
- Send the poll to a chat or channel, including through the bot's inline mode.
- Watch results in real time and close the poll when the decision is made.
The bot can show results as a chart. If you slip at any step, the /cancel command stops the current action and you can begin again.
What it is good for
Polls are not only for jokes. Channel owners learn which topics readers care about. Event organizers pick a time that suits most people.
Teachers collect feedback after classes, and teams vote on sprint priorities. One rule holds everywhere: the more specific the question, the more useful the answers. 🎯
Polls without the noise
A good poll is short. One question, three to five options, neutral wording with no hints.
- Comparable options. "Pizza" and "day off" in one list confuse people.
- A deadline. Announce when the vote ends.
- Participant control. In public groups decide beforehand how you will handle vote stuffing and trolls.
- A result. Post the outcome and the decision so people see why they took part.
The bot states that privacy and security of votes are guaranteed, but still avoid putting extra personal data about participants into a poll. Reread the wording before you publish. ✅
