About this App
A chat of two hundred people lives for two days: everyone writes at first, then three stubborn members are left. To keep talk alive, admins invent contests, ranks and rules. Beem takes that routine over and turns chatting into a small game with levels. 🏅
What kind of bot this is
Beem describes itself as a multi-purpose bot for Telegram groups. You add it to a chat and it starts counting member activity: who writes, who stays quiet, who is already on top.
You manage it from the project dashboard or from settings right in Telegram. To begin, add the bot to a group and open the menu.
XP, levels and a leaderboard
The core idea is XP. Members earn experience points for messages, grow in levels and climb the group ranking. People like to see a number next to their name, and many start writing more often.
- /rank shows a member's rank card.
- /lb displays the group leaderboard.
- /nr tells how much XP is left until the next level.
- /id and /avatar show an account ID and a copy of the profile picture.
- /cf flips a coin for small disputes.
Custom commands and giveaways
An admin can add custom commands (/add), delete them (/remove) and view the list (/commands). That gives the group quick answers to repeated questions: rules, links, schedules.
The /menu command opens the giveaway menu and /buttons opens the button menu. Giveaways liven up a chat, but run them fairly and publish the terms first. 🎁
Setup in five minutes
- Add the bot to your group and make it an admin if you want management features.
- Open /settings and switch on the modules you need.
- Check /help. The bot sends the list of commands.
- Announce the rules in the chat: what counts as activity and what earns XP.
What not to expect
A ranking by message count rewards useful talk, but also spam for points. If people start posting "aaa" for a level, change the rules: limit the frequency or reward quality.
A good mix is levels for motivation, small prizes once a month and a moderator who keeps order. One bot will not grow a community on its own. 🌱
Designing the levels
Decide what a member gets at a new level. It could be a special status in the chat, access to a closed topic, or simply a mention in the monthly recap. Without a reward, numbers get boring fast.
Once a month, sum up and thank the leaders by name. People want their contribution noticed. 🏆
Permissions and privacy
Give the bot only the rights it needs. If you do not plan to delete messages through it, do not grant that right. Tell members the bot counts their activity so the ranking surprises nobody. 🔒
For admins of gaming, study and hobby chats where live conversation matters. For a tiny private group of five, rankings are mostly pointless, since everyone knows each other already.
