You took a great shot and now nobody sees it: friends like it out of politeness, and a social feed buries it in a day. A photo battle in Telegram works differently. Two pictures stand side by side, viewers pick the better one, and votes decide the winner 📸
PHOTOBATTLE | BOT works as a mini app around that format. The project has a main channel and a support contact, and the bot menu opens with the /start command.
How a photo battle works
The classic scheme is simple: a participant sends a photo, the organizer sets it against another, and viewers vote. Whoever collects more votes moves on or wins the round.
A mini app keeps everything in one window: browse the pairs, rate them, open the menu. There is no separate program to install.
What the bot offers
- /start: the main menu where everything begins.
- /help: a help command when you are unsure where to tap.
- Main channel: the project posts news and results there, and the profile points to it.
- Support: a contact for questions is listed in the profile.
Rules for a specific round, entry terms and the voting format are shown in the menu itself, since they differ from battle to battle.
What makes your frame beat the rival
If you plan to enter, think about the first impression. A voter looks at a photo for a couple of seconds and decides in that moment 👀
- A clear focal point. One subject or one emotion beats a scatter of details.
- Light. Soft side light or golden hour rescues almost any scene.
- Framing. Trim the clutter at the edges and leave room around the main subject.
- File quality. Send the original, not a heavily compressed copy.
Voting fairly
Every vote invites cheating: bots, vote swaps, pleas of "vote for me". An honest battle shows whose work people like, not who has more friends 🙂
If results look odd, tell support. An organizer can check the votes.
Where photo battles turn risky
The format has a darker side in Telegram. Some channels ask for money under the banner of a photo battle: an "entry fee", a "bet on your own shot", an "auction". Prizes are not guaranteed ⚠️
A few protection rules:
- Do not send money to private bank cards to take part or to win.
- Do not enter bank card details or codes from messages.
- Do not accept "bets" that promise a quick win.
- Read the prize terms before sending a photo: what you get and from whom.
Rights to your photos
A photo sent to a public battle will be seen by many people. Send only your own shots and never post pictures of other people without consent, especially children 🔒
Strip out extras such as location tags and personal details before sending. Check the file on your phone screen for stray faces and license plates.
