About this App
Everyone in the group chat wants a round of Mafia, but somebody has to be the host and sit out the fun. True Mafia Black takes that job. It deals the roles, counts the votes and keeps the nights and days in order. 🎭
This is the paid version of a bot that runs classic Mafia, and tens of thousands of people use it every month. You launch it inside a group chat, not in a private dialog.
What the bot does in place of a human host
In tabletop Mafia the host knows everything: who is mafia, who is a civilian, who did what at night. A human host stays out of the game and sometimes slips up or gives something away with a look.
The bot says nothing extra. Roles arrive in each player's private messages, so nobody in the group sees who got what. Night actions are also done with buttons in private, and only the outcome appears in the chat.
Setting up a game in your chat
- Add the bot to a group chat.
- Make it an administrator so it can manage messages.
- Open registration with /game.
- Wait until at least four people have joined, then begin.
This version is built for up to 20 players. That covers a busy party chat, while four friends can play with the minimum lineup. 🎲
Commands worth remembering
- /profile opens your game profile.
- /start launches the bot.
- /leave takes you out of the game if you must step away.
- /issue sends a note to the developer, in English or Russian.
The last one helps when a round freezes or you spot a bug. Describe the situation in a single message and the developer will see it.
Paid versus free
The paid edition runs on its own server, which the description presents as stable and free of ads. The player limit is also higher than in the free version.
A subscription is tied to the chat, not to one person. That makes it easy to split the cost: each member chips in a small amount and the group plays for the whole period. Check current rates inside the bot. 💬
Read the license before you pay
When you launch the bot you confirm that you have read the project's license agreement. Read it before paying. It explains the terms of access and what happens in case of violations.
If you administer a large chat, set up the subscription only after members agree to pay. That saves you arguments later about who owes what.
Tips for a good evening
Mafia lives on conversation, and the bot only manages the rules. A few habits from people who have played many rounds:
- Agree on night length. If a player does not respond, the round stalls. Decide in advance how long you wait.
- Do not share your private messages. A screenshot of your role ruins the game.
- Watch the tone. Mafia works while players joke, and breaks when they take offense.
- Seat beginners with veterans. The rules sink in after one round.
In a big lineup, pick one person to remind everybody about the vote. The bot tracks the flow, but a human nudge is the best cure for silent players. 🌙
