About this App
New tokens appear in the TON ecosystem every week, and tracking them across dozens of tabs is tiring. Toncap gathers the essentials in one place: live prices, market capitalization, charts and rankings. All of it opens in a mini app inside Telegram. 📈
The interface is minimal, and there are just two commands: /start launches the app and /help shows help. Everything else happens on screen.
What you can look at
The app is made for people who follow the TON market but do not want a heavy terminal website open. Open it, glance at the numbers, close it.
- Prices. A token's current rate and its change over a chosen period.
- Market cap. An estimate of a project's size on the market.
- Charts. Price dynamics showing spikes and drops.
- Rankings. A list of tokens sorted by size or activity.
Reading market cap properly
Market cap is the price of one token times the number of coins in circulation. It shows scale, not quality. A project with a huge cap and thin liquidity can collapse from one large sale.
Look at several metrics together: trading volume, circulating supply and token age. A lone number deceives.
Ranking traps
A ranking by daily growth attracts beginners, but it usually shows tokens that have already multiplied. Buying at the peak is the most common way to lose money.
- A sharp one day rise. Often means promotion, after which the price returns.
- Thin liquidity. It is hard to exit such a token at the price on screen.
- Clone tokens. A name and icon can copy a known project.
- Overly pretty promises in chats around a token.
Using the data wisely
A tracker is a reference, not an adviser. It shows what is happening but does not tell you what to do. Make buying decisions yourself, with money whose loss you can bear. ⚠️
- Cross-check the price. Rates on different venues can differ noticeably, especially for small tokens.
- Verify the contract address in the project's official source.
- Do not lean on past performance. Yesterday's growth guarantees nothing tomorrow.
- Count the fees. Network charges and slippage reduce a trade's result.
Charts: what to look at
On a short timeframe a chart almost always looks dramatic. Switch between periods: a week and a month give a more honest picture than an hour. Sharp candles up and down often come from a single large trade.
Note the levels from which the price has already bounced. It is not a forecast, but it helps you avoid panic decisions made on emotion. 🕯️
The project has a community
The app profile lists a channel and a chat where updates and questions are discussed. News about new features is easier to follow there. But in chats, remember that ads about guaranteed growth are not analysis. 💬
Who it helps
The app suits TON wallet owners, the curious and anyone who wants to check a rate quickly before a swap. For serious analysis it is not enough: trackers do not replace studying a project yourself.
If you are only getting to know crypto, start with small amounts and learn to read charts. Haste is expensive here. 🧭
