About this App
Photos sit in your phone gallery like dead weight, and on big social networks yours sink among thousands of others. Photon takes another route: share pictures inside Telegram, among friends, in a full-screen feed with no separate sign-up. 📸
It is a mini app for self-expression where you post photos, browse friends' shots and build collections. Here is what it contains and what to watch for.
A full-screen feed with captions
The basic idea is simple: you post a photo with a caption, and friends like, comment and share. The feed shows pictures large, edge to edge, without visual clutter.
Before publishing, you can crop and tweak a shot. It is a small thing that saves a trip to a separate editor.
Profile, friends and the Vibelist
- Profile. Your own page with your pictures.
- Following. Follow people and see what they shoot.
- Vibelist. Personal photo collections: travel, food, mood, anything you want to keep together.
- Invitations. Bring in friends so the feed doesn't stay empty.
Daily contests and in-app rewards
Some descriptions of the app mention photo contests, voting and tasks that earn internal coins. You can also connect a TON wallet.
Keep in mind that in-app coins in games like this are not money by themselves. See them as a game element, not as income. 🪙
Getting started without getting lost
- Launch the bot. Press /start and open the mini app.
- Fill in your profile. A name and avatar help friends find you.
- Post your first shot. Pick a photo, add a caption and crop it your way.
- Follow people you know. The feed comes alive when it holds faces you recognize.
What to put in your feed
Candid shots work best: a walk, a meal, a pet, the view from a window. One good picture with a short caption beats ten similar ones.
Post the best photo of the day, not every frame. Friends enjoy it more, and you avoid piling up clutter. In a couple of weeks your Vibelist turns into a personal photo diary. 🌿
Photo privacy: what to think about
Anything posted on a social network can be seen by other people. Before sharing, make sure the picture shows no documents, license plates, addresses or people who didn't agree to appear.
Also check metadata: some photos store the coordinates where they were taken. If hiding the location matters, switch off geotags in your camera settings. 🔒
Where the project comes from
Photon started as a photo mini app noted at a hackathon of the TON ecosystem in winter 2024. The interface comes in English and Russian, so it is easy to find your way around.
New social networks live on people's activity. Invite a few friends, and the app becomes noticeably more fun.
