Need to save a big file to Google Drive while your mobile data is nearly gone? ⚡ Google Drive X does it remotely: you send a file or a direct link, and the bot uploads it to your drive from its side.

Your own traffic is not used. The bot also manages the drive from inside Telegram: it shows files, searches and tracks storage.

How remote upload works

The file is downloaded on the bot's server, not through your connection, and goes straight to your Drive or Team Drive. For large archives and video it saves both time and gigabytes.

You connect by signing into a Google account, which you confirm yourself. 🔑

First run, step by step

Tap /start.
Send /login and sign into your Google account through the page offered.
Check which permissions you are granting the bot.
Send a file or a direct link.
Open /myfiles to confirm that everything landed.

What you are allowing the bot to do

To upload and manage files, the bot gets access to your Drive. That is a serious permission, so read what exactly is being requested before you sign in. 🔒

If you have doubts, do not connect the main account that holds important documents. You can create a separate account just for uploads.

You can revoke access in your Google account's security settings. Do it if you stop using the bot.

Team Drives and several accounts

If you work in a team, it is handy to drop files straight into a shared drive. The bot works with Team Drives, and the /accounts command helps you switch between accounts. 👥

Before uploading to a shared drive, make sure your colleagues have access and that you chose the right folder. Otherwise you will have to find and move the file by hand.

Check /storage regularly: drive space runs out faster than you think, especially with video.

Plans and third-party bots

The bot has a /plan command, so its features depend on a plan. Check the terms inside the bot before a large upload.

The law and caution
