A giveaway is still one of the easiest ways to wake up a channel and attract subscribers. Collecting entries by hand, checking subscriptions and picking a fair winner is slow and tedious, though. Launching your first giveaway

1. Get set. Tap Open, send /start and read the short intro.
2. Channel. Add the bot as an admin of your channel with permission to post.
3. Event type. Choose /lot for a regular contest or /fast for a quick one.
4. Conditions. Set the prize, number of winners, deadline and required subscriptions.
5. Publish. The bot posts with an entry button and announces results on time.

Free, with ads

The core features cost nothing, but the bot shows ads. A premium subscription removes them, and /subscribe shows the terms and price. 💎

Making a contest people trust

Subscribers have seen plenty of fake giveaways, so trust has to be earned. 🤝

• A clear prize. State exactly what the winner gets and how it will be delivered.
• A firm deadline. Put the results date and time in the post.
• Public results. Announce winners openly and show the prize being handed over.
• Reasonable conditions. Two or three required subscriptions work better than ten sponsor channels.

Fake entries and ghost followers

A prize attracts bots as well as real people. After the contest, some subscribers leave quickly and your reach drops.

To limit the damage, don't make subscribing the only condition, run giveaways for an audience you already have, and keep an eye on channel stats afterwards. 📊
