SVG to TGS: stickers without pixels

You drew a logo or icon as a vector, but Telegram only takes PNG or WEBP for static stickers, and the image goes soft on big screens.

SVG to TGS fixes that: it converts your SVG into TGS, the format behind Telegram's animated stickers. The result is a vector sticker that stays crisp at any size. ✏️

The bot supports both regular sticker sets and custom emoji sets. It is made by Ponomarev Studio and works in English.

Why TGS instead of PNG

TGS is Telegram's animated sticker format. Inside is a Lottie vector animation described by math, not pixels, so the sticker looks equally sharp on a small phone and a large monitor. 🖥️

Telegram does not accept SVG directly, and a raster image loses quality when scaled. Converting SVG to TGS makes even a static drawing behave like a vector, with no jagged edges. It shows most on emoji, which Telegram renders at several sizes.

How to use it

1. Prepare the SVG. Simple shapes and outlines convert most reliably.
2. Send the file to the bot as a regular document.
3. Get the TGS back as a ready sticker file.
4. Add it to a set through Telegram's official sticker management bot, using an emoji set for emoji or a regular set for stickers.

/limit shows how many conversions you have left, /buy tops them up, and /help assists when something goes wrong.

Before you start

• Static only. The current version is tested on still images, and animation inside an SVG does not carry over.
• Outline your text. Convert fonts to paths in your editor, or text may vanish or render in the wrong font.
• No raster inserts. Photos embedded in an SVG will not become vectors.
• Simpler is safer. Complex gradients, masks and filters may not look as they did in your editor.
• File size. Telegram caps TGS stickers at about 64 KB, so very detailed art may not fit. 📦

Telegram's specs

An animated Telegram sticker uses a 512 by 512 canvas, lasts up to 3 seconds and weighs no more than 64 KB compressed. Custom emoji use a 100 by 100 canvas. The full spec is in Telegram's official sticker documentation for developers.
