Protecting your own stories

If you do not want people viewing your stories invisibly, make your account private, since such services only work with public pages. Use a close friends list for some stories, and treat anything posted publicly as visible to anyone, including people who never show up among your viewers.

The ethical line

Anonymously viewing public content is not forbidden in itself, since the person chose to show it to everyone. But tracking a specific person's follows and activity, especially an ex or an acquaintance, easily becomes stalking. ⚠️
