Virtual SIM: SMS Numbers in Telegram

Another site wants a phone number for an SMS code, and you do not want to hand over your real one. SMS activate | Virtual SIM issues a temporary virtual number right inside Telegram, and the code arrives in the app 📱

The service runs as a mini app: numbers are available from more than thirty countries and payment goes through Telegram Stars. It has around four hundred users.

How it works

A platform asks for a number, generates a one-time code and sends it by SMS. You enter the code and confirm you control the number. A virtual number lives in the cloud, so you can read the SMS in an app, without a SIM card.

Usually you pick a country and a service, get a number, type it on the website and wait for the code. It shows up in the app within seconds.

What it suits

• Testing and development. Check how a site or app sends SMS.
• Privacy. Keep your personal number off a doubtful site.
• One-off signup. An account you can afford to lose.

The service states plainly that fraud and illegal use are strictly prohibited. Do not use numbers to deceive people or to mass-create fake accounts.

Bot commands

• /start. Opens the app.
• /terms. Shows the terms of use.
• /support. Reach support.
• /paysupport. Payment questions.

Read the terms before your first purchase, especially the part on refunds for numbers that never received a code 📜

Why a code may never arrive

Some apps block known ranges of virtual numbers, so the SMS is simply not sent. Shared number pools also wear out: if someone has already abused a number, the platform remembers it.

If the code does not come, cancel the order, pick another country and try again. Many such services refund unused numbers, but check the terms in /terms.

The main risk: losing an account

A temporary number lives from minutes to hours. Then it may pass to another person, meaning the new holder can request a login code for your account.

• For an important account use a permanent number, a physical SIM or an eSIM.
• Turn on two-step verification in any account where you used a temporary number.
• Keep a second logged-in session on another device.

Paying with Stars

Pay in small amounts and keep screenshots of the order. If something goes wrong, write to /paysupport and attach the order number and time 🧾
