Reaction & Comments for channels

About this App

You publish a post and get silence. People read it, but you cannot tell whether they liked it. 📊 Reaction & Comments turns your channel into a place where readers can respond with one tap and discuss the post in comments.

The bot does two things: it puts reaction buttons under your messages and it connects native comments. Its own description is just as short.

Reactions under every post

New publications get a row of emoji buttons. A reader taps a heart, a flame or another icon, and the counter goes up. It is a quick way to see which topics land and which do not.

Reactions work well when writing a comment feels like too much effort. Tapping is easier than finding words, so you usually collect more responses.

Comments without extra services

The second feature is native comments. They run through the discussion group linked to your channel. A subscriber opens a post, taps the comments button and writes in a regular Telegram chat.

No outside websites and no third-party forms: everything stays inside the messenger. You can moderate the discussion with the same tools you use for any group.

Five steps to connect it

  1. Open the bot and start it.
  2. Add the bot to your channel as an administrator.
  3. Give it permission to edit messages, otherwise the buttons will not appear under posts.
  4. Add the bot to the discussion group linked to the channel.
  5. Publish a new post and check that the reactions show up.

A channel shows up in the settings list only after the bot has seen a post there. If the list is empty, write a post first. ✍️

Choosing emoji and skipping some posts

Not every message needs reactions. For fine tuning there is the /channels command and the buttons inside the bot. With them you can pick different emoji or stop the bot from editing certain posts.

Match the set to the tone of your channel. A news feed suits serious icons, an entertainment channel can use funny ones. Two to four reactions work better than a long strip of symbols.

Good to know

A good habit: do not change settings every day after connecting. Let subscribers get used to the emoji set, then after a couple of weeks see which reactions get tapped most and remove the extras. That keeps your numbers more honest.

The bot supports several languages, including Russian, English, Ukrainian, Turkish, Portuguese, Indonesian and Azerbaijani. That helps if your audience is mixed.

For help and developer news, use the contacts in the bot profile. Grant only the rights the bot needs: it has no use for powers such as managing subscribers. 🔐

Telegram's own reactions versus this bot

Telegram has built-in reactions that the channel owner switches on in settings. The bot solves a different task: it places buttons right under the text, and you choose the emoji set yourself. Pick whichever your audience likes more, or try both on a few posts and compare how people respond.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect Reaction & Comments to my channel?▼
Start the bot, add it to your channel as an administrator with permission to edit messages, and add it to the discussion group linked to the channel. Then publish a new post so the bot can see the channel.
Why don't buttons appear under my posts?▼
Most often the bot lacks the right to edit messages, or the channel has not shown up in the list yet. Check the admin permissions and publish a fresh post. Older posts may stay unchanged.
Can I choose my own emoji?▼
Yes. Open the settings with the /channels command and pick a channel. There you can change the emoji set or turn off the buttons for some messages.
Do I need a separate group for comments?▼
Yes. Native comments in Telegram run through a discussion group linked to the channel. Create it in the channel settings and add the bot to it.
