Would You Rather Bot: Play It

An evening chatting with a friend, a bus ride or a break at work: sometimes you just want to talk, but the topics ran dry. Would You Rather Bot throws in a "which would you pick" question, and the conversation wakes up on its own 🎲

You can play with a friend or alone. All questions are in English.

How the game works

The bot shows two options, for example a blue one and a red one. Each player picks one. When everyone has voted or the timer runs out, the bot shows who chose what.

Then the fun part begins: the discussion. Why did you pick that? The answer often surprises even close friends.

Solo mode

If nobody is nearby, play alone. The /next command serves a new question, and you can flip through them until you get bored.

• /next. The next Would You Rather question.
• /help. A hint about the commands.
• /start. Launch and a short explanation.
• /stats. Your statistics.

Solo mode is also decent English practice: the questions are short and the options are easy to picture 📚

Playing with a friend without adding the bot to a group

The bot works in inline mode. Type its name in a private chat with a friend, pick a question, and the game runs right in your conversation.

There is no need to add the bot to a group, so nothing extra shows up in your member list.

The 18+ mode

A separate /nsfw command serves questions for adults. They are meant for people of legal age only, and should be switched on only in company that is comfortable with it.

If teenagers or people who dislike such jokes are in the chat, skip this mode. The rule is simple: everyone in the game should enjoy it 🙂

Supporting the project and sending feedback

The /tip command lets you support development and server costs with a tip. It is voluntary, and you can play without it.

There is also a way to send ideas for new questions. If you come up with a witty one, suggest it to the author to make the game better.
