Pogoda.uz: Uzbekistan Weather

bot • Handy Tools

About this App

In the morning it is warm in Tashkent, by lunch the wind picks up, by evening rain is promised. You can learn all this in five seconds if the forecast comes to where you already spend your day, that is Telegram. That is why the Pogoda.uz bot exists. ☀️

It is the bot of the service of the same name, with forecasts for Uzbekistan. One command, /start, launches it.

Weather for your own city

The bot is built for Uzbekistan: it shows weather for cities of the country, not the whole world. For residents of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Termez and other places that is a plus: you do not have to pick your city out of thousands with the same name.

There are two languages, Russian and Uzbek. Choose the one you prefer to read forecasts in.

  • Today. What to expect in the day and evening.
  • Tomorrow. Whether to take an umbrella and a jacket.
  • Week and weekend. Plans for a trip, a barbecue or a wedding.

Getting started

  1. Open the bot and press /start.
  2. Choose the interface language.
  3. Specify your city.
  4. Look at the forecast and change the city if needed.

The service's website also has a separate section about weather mailings in Telegram. If you want a forecast without opening the bot every day, look there.

A climate where a forecast really matters

The climate of Uzbekistan is sharply continental. Summer heat easily goes past forty degrees, northern regions see frosts in winter, and in spring and autumn the temperature can jump ten degrees in a day.

So a single glance at the forecast often decides what to wear, when to leave and how much water to take. 🌡️

What to check besides degrees

  • Feels-like temperature. In heat humidity matters, in cold the wind.
  • Precipitation. The chance of rain tells you more than the word cloudy.
  • Wind and dust. For a long drive or outdoor work this matters more than it seems.
  • Day and night gap. It is especially visible in the mountains and foothills.

How to read a weekly forecast

The first two or three days are usually accurate, and later the weather shifts. Treat the seventh-day forecast as a guide, not as a promise.

Before an important event, check the bot on the morning of the same day: you will get the freshest picture. For a long trip, compare forecasts along the route, because they differ from city to city.

When the bot does not respond

If the forecast does not arrive, send /start again, check your internet and try in a few minutes. The service relies on outside data, and it updates with a delay. 🔄
