Remember Minesweeper from old versions of Windows? A grid of squares, number hints and the fear of clicking the wrong one. Minroob brings that game to Telegram and adds something the original never had: an opponent.
The bot description says it plainly: a multiplayer version of the classic game 💣 It runs inside the messenger, so there is no separate app to install.
Minesweeper with someone to beat
The classic is simple. You open squares, a number tells you how many mines sit next door, and your job is to work out the safe spots without blowing up. It used to be a quiet solitaire session on your own.
In Minroob you can play alone, like the original, or in a pair. The two-player mode turns a logic puzzle into a race: you and your rival face the same field, and mistakes cost a lot.
How to challenge a friend
The bot also works in inline mode. That is handy when you are arguing with someone in a chat and want to settle it with a match.
- Open the chat. A private conversation or a group both work.
- Type the bot name in the message field. Telegram offers to start a two-player game.
- Send the invitation. When your rival taps the button, the match begins.
To play solo, open the bot and press /start. The /help command brings up the rules and controls.
What Minesweeper trains
It is more than five minutes of fun. The game exercises attention and logic: from the numbers you build a chain of reasoning and find squares that surely hold a mine or surely do not.
- The opening. The first clicks usually reveal an area, and then the work with numbers begins.
- A 1 by the edge. If a 1 has only one closed square next to it, the mine is in that square.
- Flags. Mark the mines you found so you do not lose track of them, and check them against the surrounding numbers.
- Guessing. Sometimes risk is unavoidable. Pick the square with the lowest chance of a mine.
Competition and rankings
The project has its own channel that posts the results of top players. According to the channel, the best players get an honor badge and a week of premium. Check the bot and the channel for the exact terms, since they can change.
If you like comparing results, that is one more reason to come back: you want a better time and a lead over your friends.
A word on fair play
Games like this often attract third-party auto-play programs. Connecting your Telegram account to one is risky: it needs your access data, and automated play may break the rules.
Play with your own hands. A win feels better, and your account stays safe.
Who this game is for
Minroob suits people who like puzzles and short rounds. A match takes minutes, so it fits into a break between tasks. It is also a good way to tease a friend in a chat and play them for speed.
