About this App
You built a lively group, and a week later it is full of ad bots promising easy money. Cleaning by hand gets old fast. Lols Anti Spam, also called Lols Bot, takes over that chore: add it to your group and it starts catching spam accounts. 🛡
The bot's own description says it is ad-free, easy to use, and aimed at one goal: less junk in your chat.
How it tells a spammer from a person
The key signal is account age. A freshly registered profile that immediately posts links is almost always suspicious. Telegram does not show a registration date, so the bot estimates one itself.
The developer says the estimate combines several clues: the first time the bot saw a message from that user, the profile photo upload date, the date they joined the chat, and the user_id. No phone number is needed.
What Lols Bot can do
- Catches spam bots. Just add it to the group.
- Checks registration dates. Send it a user's info and it estimates the age of the account.
- Takes reports. /report sends the message you replied to for review.
- Is configured in chat. /config opens the settings and /mychats lists your chats where the bot is connected.
- Helps moderators. Mute, ban and kick commands work in the group, and a "d" prefix also deletes the message you replied to.
Permissions it asks for
The minimum is deleting messages and banning users. There is no reason to hand over more, and the same rule applies to any bot you promote to admin.
If this is your first time setting up protection, make the bot an admin, review the permission list, and switch off anything extra.
Where its reach ends
It has the same limits as any Telegram bot. Messages older than two days cannot be deleted. Anything posted before the bot joined the chat stays invisible to it.
So install protection before a spam wave, not after. Old junk has to be removed manually or with the group's built-in tools.
Quick setup
- Open the bot and send /start. The interface comes in English and Russian.
- Add it to your group and make it an admin with rights to delete messages and ban users.
- Visit /config and pick the settings you want.
- Watch the group's admin log for a couple of days and adjust if you see false positives.
Avoiding false positives
Every anti-spam system gets it wrong sometimes. A new, honest member also looks like a fresh account. Skip the harshest settings at first and see how the bot behaves with your audience.
If someone was blocked by mistake, lift the restriction manually from the group's member list. For borderline cases, /report is there to help.
Who benefits most
Owners of open groups, channel comment sections, community chats and study groups. The more newcomers a chat gets and the easier it is to find in search, the faster spam bots show up. 🙂
