What the assistant does

What you enter for a calculation

For a natal chart astrologers use date, time and place of birth. The more exact the time, the more exact the calculation: it sets the Ascendant and houses.

3. Place. Needed for time zone and coordinates.

Synastry needs the second person's data. Ask permission before entering someone else's birth details.

The Ascendant is the sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment of birth. It changes roughly every two hours, so an error of an hour or two can alter the chart. If you don't know your birth time, ask your parents or check the birth certificate, which sometimes lists it. 🕰

Where the name Ketu comes from

In Vedic astrology (Jyotish), Ketu is the south node of the Moon. It is linked with past experience, detachment and turns of fate. The name is no accident: the project speaks the language of astrology rather than therapy. ✨

Reading the results

Astrology is not a science, and studies do not show that planet positions predict character or the fate of a couple. Still, many people enjoy such readings as a prompt for conversation and self-reflection. 🧭
