Other people's content and the law

Downloading a photo or clip for yourself is technically easy, but every post has an author. Do not pass off someone else's work as yours, do not repost it to your channels without permission and do not use it in ads. That infringes the author's rights, and platforms may remove such posts.

If you want to share a clip you liked, send the link to the original or ask the author for permission. 🙏

When the bot will not download

• Check the link. It should point to a specific post, not a whole profile.
• Private accounts. Downloaders usually cannot fetch content from private profiles.
• Deleted posts. If the post is gone, there is nothing to download.
• Try again later. Sometimes the service is overloaded or Instagram changes its access rules.

If nothing helps, write to support with /support. Have the link and a screenshot of the error ready.

Never send the bot your Instagram login and password. You do not need them to download posts, and any request like that should make you suspicious. 🛑
