About this App
Your bag is stuffed with loot and the town is one step away. Do you go home or risk one more step? That is the question Greedwood is built on, a dark fantasy extraction RPG. Its slogan: safe in town, rich in the wild, and greed has a price ⚔️.
You can play in a browser, on a game portal and in Telegram through the bot. Entry is free, according to the authors.
Five steps of a single run
Every run follows the same structure, which is why it hooks you.
- Prepare in town: gear, skills, daily quests.
- Explore: forks on the path and random encounters.
- Fight: turn-based clashes with over forty monsters.
- Loot: everything you pick up sits in your expedition bag.
- Escape: get home alive so the loot stays yours.
The price of greed
The whole point is that loot is at risk until you return. Die on the way and you lose what you found. The deeper you go, the richer the rewards and the higher the risk.
A recent update added a return journey: on the way home you meet one to three encounters, depending on the risk you built up. At each one you can fight, pay a toll, give up a random item or take another route.
Skill cards and growth
Skills drop as cards that you choose before a fight. The game has 25 skills, you equip five at a time, and each has five upgrade levels.
Examples include Stubborn Blood, Rare Sense and Killing Focus. In combat you read the enemy's intent and pick cards, combining attacks, defenses, stuns and poisons.
Between runs
Your character keeps growing between expeditions: levels, gear, skills and daily quests. Two regions are open for now, the Forest and the Caves, and the authors say the world will keep expanding.
The project has a community and a support contact, listed in the bot profile.
Tips for anyone entering the thicket
- Do not get greedy on early runs: turn back early to learn.
- Watch the bag: the heavier it gets, the sharper the question of going further.
- Read enemy intent: card choice matters more than tapping speed.
- Spend carefully: if the game ever offers purchases, treat them as entertainment spending.
The game page mentions no premium currencies, tokens or NFTs. If they appear, check the terms before spending money.
Who this expedition suits
It fits people who like games where decisions beat reflexes, and who enjoy short runs with risk. The extraction genre suits a mobile session well: a couple of minutes between chores and you are in combat.
If you hate losing progress, the game may frustrate you, since losing loot is part of the design.
