Cwallet Bot: crypto tips in chat

Mini App • Crypto Wallets

About this App

Someone in a crypto chat asks for a few coins for a coffee, and you have neither an address handy nor time to sort out networks. Cwallet Bot (the cctip_bot bot) sends it with a single command right in the group. 💸

It is a wallet inside Telegram built around social use: tips, giveaways, subscriptions and token swaps. The service was previously known as CCTip.

What the bot does

  • Send and receive. Tokens and coins move with a simple command.
  • Swaps. The bot description lists more than 100 tokens, and /swap takes an amount and a token pair.
  • Paid subscriptions. A group admin can monetise a private chat in crypto.
  • Holdings-based access. Entry to a chat can be tied to tokens in a wallet.
  • Referrals and giveaways. Tips, airdrops and "rains" to liven up a community.

There are reference commands too: /price BTC shows a rate, /tokens lists the tokens, and /fiat and /language set the currency and language.

Tips and giveaways in a group

First the bot has to be added to the chat. Then you can tip one person, several at once, or by replying to a message.

Giveaways come in four kinds. In an "airdrop" the reward is split equally between everyone who sends the keyword, while in a "draw" a random participant wins it. A "giveaway" works by button press, and a "rain" picks recently active members automatically. 🌧️

What to know about a custodial wallet

Custodial means the service holds the keys, not you. That is convenient, since there is no seed phrase and no complicated setup. But you trust the operator with your funds and its security.

  1. Keep on the balance only what you plan to send or give away.
  2. Store larger amounts in a wallet you control yourself.
  3. Turn on account protection. A payment password and confirmations are a must.
  4. Check the network and address before withdrawing. A wrong network is usually irreversible.

Why a tip may not arrive

There are typical causes. The recipient has not written anything in the group since the bot was added, or is hidden by an admin's anonymous mode. Then the bot cannot see the person and cannot send them funds.

A request can also fail if the account is restricted or the payment password was changed in the last day. In such cases wait, or contact support via /help. ⏳

Fees and free use

The company states that it charges no fee for transfers, swaps, tips and giveaways, and that the bot itself is free. Still, look at the final amount on the confirmation screen before any important action, because a network fee may apply separately on withdrawal. 🔍

Be careful with giveaways

Among airdrops you meet promotions asking you to register on a third-party platform with someone else's referral code. The bot has nothing to do with this, but the decision to take part is yours.

Never type a seed phrase or payment password in reply to a "support" message in a private chat. Real support does not ask for them.

Who it suits

Admins of crypto communities who want to liven up a chat with giveaways or sell access. Also people who often send small amounts to friends without extra steps.

It is not meant for holding large sums. Treat it as a pocket for small change, not a safe.

Yes. The bot is named cctip_bot and runs as Cwallet. The service used to be known as CCTip and now develops under the Cwallet brand.
Who holds the keys to my funds?▼
The wallet is custodial, so the service holds the keys. You do not get a seed phrase and rely on the operator's security. It is better to keep a small amount on the balance and larger funds in your own wallet.
Why can't I send a tip?▼
Most often the recipient has not written in the group since the bot was added, or is hidden as an anonymous admin. A request can also be rejected if the account is restricted or the payment password was changed in the last 24 hours.
Are there fees for transfers and swaps?▼
The company states it charges no fee for transfers, swaps, tips and giveaways. A network fee may apply when withdrawing to a blockchain, so check the final amount on the confirmation screen.
