Built a playlist and half of the tracks show a grey placeholder instead of artwork? Or remembered a song but cannot picture the album? Album Cover Finder Bot handles this in a single message. 🎵
You type an artist name or a song title and the bot looks for the cover. It all happens in a Telegram chat, with no search engine and no dozen open tabs.
One query, one picture
The idea is simple: send text and wait for the reply. According to the bot's profile, an artist name or a song title is all it needs. There are no forms and no settings.
The description asks you to write in English. For artists whose names are in other alphabets, use the Latin spelling as it appears on streaming pages and in track tags. If you do not know it, look it up on the album page or in the file tags. 🔍
Two commands, that is all
- /start launches the bot.
- /help shows a short usage hint.
Nothing else is required. Once the bot is running, you just send your query as a regular message.
Why bother with cover art
A cover is the face of a release. It comes in handy in a few everyday situations:
- Music library. Files without artwork look like an empty list in a player. A cover turns the list into a collection.
- Posts and channels. If you run a music channel, picks with pictures read better than bare text.
- Recommendations to friends. Sending a song together with its cover is easier than explaining which one you mean.
- Checking a hunch. Sometimes you remember the picture but not the name. The bot does not work backwards, but it lets you test a guess by artist name quickly. 🖼
Getting the right version
One artist usually has many releases: the original album, a reissue, a single, a compilation. Their covers often differ.
The more precise the query, the better the odds of seeing the picture you want. If the artist name is not enough, add the song or album title. Keep it short: "artist and track" works better than a full sentence.
Small habits that save time
Keep the title and the artist name exactly as they are written on the release. Abbreviations, nicknames and descriptions like "that summer song" will not be understood by a search.
If you need pictures for several tracks, send the queries one at a time and save each result right away. That way you will not lose the right one in a long chat. Saved Messages in Telegram is a handy place for the best finds. ⭐
A word on copyright
A cover is the work of a designer or an artist, and often part of a label's branding. Using it in a personal library or while chatting about music rarely raises questions.
If you plan to publish the image commercially, on merchandise or in ads, you need permission from the rights holder. Crediting the source in a music post is a good habit as well. ⚖️
When the bot stays silent
Small bots run on someone else's server and may reply slowly or go quiet for a while. If nothing comes back, wait a minute and send the query again, then check that you are writing in English and without typos.
Rare and very fresh releases can be harder to find than popular ones. For lesser-known bands, try the track title together with the artist name. 🎧
