About this App
You run a VK group or are eyeing someone else's for advertising, and you need numbers: who is in it, how active the audience is, whether it grows. VkStatBot turns that into a report. You only send a link to the community.
The bot runs inside Telegram, so you do not need to open the VK web interface. It has about 130 monthly users and introduces itself as a VK community analyst.
One address, a full report
Control is minimal. /start restarts the bot, then you send a link to a group or public page and receive a report.
The bot channel and support are listed in its description. If a report fails, start by contacting them.
What the report shows
- Topics. Interests of the community audience.
- Member activity. Who is active and who is not, and how many subscribers are dogs, meaning deleted or banned pages.
- Growth. Subscriber gain per day and per month, if the group has open statistics.
- Age and gender. Audience demographics.
- Activity metrics. Average likes, comments, reposts and views.
- Geography. Where most members come from.
Reading the numbers
One metric says little; the combination is what matters. A community with many subscribers and a tiny number of likes is probably full of inactive or deleted pages.
A high share of dogs is also a warning sign. It can mean an old base, inflated numbers or simply a long history.
Who benefits from the report
- Admins who want to understand their audience.
- Advertisers choosing a placement.
- SMM specialists comparing their communities with competitors.
- Business owners deciding whether a group is worth investing in.
Limits to keep in mind
Subscriber growth is available only when the group has open statistics. If admins hid it, the bot cannot show part of the data.
Any third-party report is based on public information and estimates. For big decisions, check it against official community statistics if you are the admin.
In practice: comparing two groups
A good routine before buying ads: check three things. Does the audience age and gender match your customer? Are there enough people from the right region? And how long has the group posted live content rather than only ads?
Watch the ratio of views to subscribers. If views are an order of magnitude lower than subscribers, reach will be weak however much the placement costs.
Mind privacy: the bot works with public community information and does not reveal members personal data. Do not use a report to follow specific people. Keep reports from different dates and compare them to see how an ad, a contest or a change of topic affected the audience.
Send the bot links to two similar groups and compare engagement per subscriber. A smaller group with a live audience is often better for advertising than a large but empty one.
Repeat the check monthly to see trends rather than one-off spikes.
