Video circle vs regular video

A Telegram video message is a square video shown in a round frame, with its own rules:

• Square frame. Anything outside the central square is cut off.
• Length limit. A circle lasts up to one minute, so longer clips need trimming.
• Autoplay. It plays silently in the feed and expands with sound when tapped.
• No caption. Unlike a regular video, so send text as a separate message.

Prepping your clip

Since the frame is cropped to a centered square, the important part must sit in the middle. Vertical video loses the top and bottom, horizontal loses the sides.

• Center the subject. Faces, products or captions belong in the middle.
• Trim to a minute. Cut it yourself rather than leaving it to automation.
• Keep text off the edges. The round mask can clip it.
• Think silent. Circles are often watched muted, so the point should land without audio. 🔇
