ONTON: events, tickets and SBTs in Telegram

Meetups, online streams and tournaments in Web3 communities are usually scattered across channels, sign-up forms and spreadsheets. ONTON gathers them in one Telegram mini app: find an event, register, attend and get a digital badge of participation. 🎟️

The platform runs on the TON blockchain and is integrated with the TON Society community.

For attendees

• Event catalog. Offline meetups, online AMAs, game nights, contests.
• Registration. Right in Telegram, with no outside forms.
• QR check-in. Offline events use a built-in QR code.
• Event passwords. Only real participants can claim rewards.
• Calendar. Add events to your own calendar.

What SBTs are and why they matter

An SBT, or soulbound token, is a digital badge on the TON blockchain that can't be transferred or sold. In effect it proves you were at that event. 🏅

Each SBT adds points to your ONTON profile and moves you up the weekly and monthly leaderboards. Claiming it to your wallet is optional and only affects visibility in external wallets, though some organizers ask for it.

Over time your profile becomes a record of the conferences, hackathons and meetups you attended, and some projects reward their most active members based on it.

For organizers

1. Access. Creating events requires a small fee in TON.
2. Format. Choose online, offline, paid or contest.
3. Tickets. Paid events sell NFT tickets for TON or USDT.
4. Rewards. Attendees earn SBTs, and organizers get incentives for active communities.
5. Referrals. Invites help grow your audience.

At its peak the platform reported more than a million SBTs issued, hundreds of events held and hundreds of thousands of monthly active users.

The project token

In August 2025 the project announced the launch of its ONION token and a liquidity pool. As with any young token, the price can swing a lot, so don't treat it as a guaranteed reward for attending. 📉

What is changing

Open developer discussions show the team wants to reduce wallet dependence, so core attendee actions work without connecting a TON wallet and free events can be published without a fee. A wallet will still be needed for paid tickets, TON prize raffles and moving SBTs on-chain.

Staying safe

• Official links only. Register through ONTON, not via links sent in DMs.
• Event passwords. Don't post them in open chats, or strangers can claim the reward.
• Seed phrase. Never enter it to receive an SBT. ⚠️
