Talksy: Speak English with AI

Mini App • Language Learning

About this App

You know the grammar rules, yet speech refuses to cooperate. There is nobody to practice with, and classes do not fit your week. Talksy lets you train English inside Telegram whenever you have a free minute. 🇬🇧

It is a mini app with an AI tutor. You type or record a message, and the tutor replies and points out what could sound better.

Type it or say it

There are two ways to talk. Both live in one conversation, and you can switch midway.

  • Text messages. Good for the metro, or when speaking out loud is awkward.
  • Voice messages. Record a phrase and send it like you would to a friend. This is the closest thing to a real conversation.

Topics are open: travel, work, a movie, lunch. The closer a topic is to your own life, the faster the words you actually need will stick.

Corrections while the thought is fresh

A tutor's best trick is catching slips while you still remember what you meant. Talksy gives instant feedback and corrections.

If you dropped an article or mixed up a verb tense, the bot shows the right version. A useful habit: rewrite the corrected sentence in your own words once more. The rule sticks better than it does from reading alone.

Pick your conversation partner

The bot's description says you can choose your conversation partners. That helps, because one partner may suit a work chat and another suits small talk about the weekend.

Different tones prepare you for different situations. A business email and a cafe order need different words, and both are worth rehearsing.

Pronunciation: does anyone understand you?

The bot also gives pronunciation feedback. Many learners study vocabulary for years and then find that people misunderstand them because of a stressed syllable or a single sound.

A few tips for voice messages:

  1. Record in a quiet place so speech recognition is not confused by noise.
  2. Hold the phone about a hand's width from your face.
  3. Say the whole sentence without stopping after every word.
  4. Listen to your recording and compare it with a reference pronunciation.

Progress reports

The bot compiles reports on your progress and performance. They help you see a trend: which mistakes keep coming back and which ones you have already beaten.

If one error shows up session after session, make it a mini topic for the week. A concrete target works better than a vague goal such as "improve my English".

Making practice a habit

Ten minutes daily beats two hours once a week. Tie practice to an existing routine: morning coffee, the commute home, a lunch break.

An AI tutor does not fully replace a human teacher. It is good for building speaking fluency, while tricky grammar questions and exam preparation are best backed up by a textbook or lessons with a person.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can Talksy do?▼
It accepts text and voice messages, chats on any topic and corrects mistakes right away. You can choose conversation partners, get pronunciation feedback and see progress reports. Everything runs inside Telegram, so nothing extra needs to be installed.
Can I practice with my voice?▼
Yes, record a voice message in English and send it to the bot. It reviews the phrase and gives pronunciation feedback. Record in a quiet place and say the full sentence in one go.
Is Talksy suitable for beginners?▼
You can start with short, simple phrases and everyday messages. The corrections help you spot basic errors early. If you need grammar taught from zero, add a textbook to your sessions.
Can I trust the AI corrections?▼
For everyday cases mostly yes, but a neural network sometimes slips or explains things too simply. If a correction looks doubtful, check it in a dictionary or a grammar reference. Keep personal data and passwords out of the conversation.
