About this App
You are in a cafe, at an expo, or in an airport, and you want a place in your check-in history without opening yet another app? Sq4Bot does it inside Telegram. 📍 Send a venue and the bot checks you in.
The bot works with an account on a location check-in service. You sign in once, then check in with a couple of taps.
What Sq4Bot does
The idea is simple: the bot checks you in to any venue you send it. No need to open a map and hunt for the place in another app.
It also supports inline search. Type the bot's name in any chat, add a venue name, and Telegram lists matching places.
Sign in within a minute
To make it work, you link the bot to your account. Authorization happens on the check-in service's own page.
- Send /start. The bot replies with a login link.
- Log in. Approve access on the service page.
- Return to Telegram. The bot confirms you are signed in.
- Check in. Send a venue or use /checkin.
You type your password only on the service page, never in the chat. If any bot asks for a password in a message, treat that as a red flag 🔐.
Four commands
- /start. Signs you in to the check-in account.
- /checkin. Checks you in to a venue.
- /cancel. Cancels the current command if you change your mind.
- /donate. Explains how to support the bot's author.
Donations are voluntary. It is a small project, and the developer asks for help only if you want to give it.
Why check in at all
Check-ins have a practical use. They work as a travel diary: a year later you can find that cafe in another city without trying to recall its description.
You also build a place history for friends. They see where you went and can follow the same route 🗺️.
Using your place history
Over time you build a personal ranking: favorite coffee shops, restaurants, parks, and museums. It is handy when a friend asks where to go in town.
The check-in service shows how often you visit the same places and helps you find new ones nearby. That data stays in your account, not in the chat 📅.
Privacy and caution
A check-in tells people where you are. For anyone who sees your profile, that reveals your daily routine.
- Check in after you leave. Nobody learns your home is empty while you travel.
- Review visibility. Choose in the service settings who sees your check-ins.
- Skip your home. Better not to publish your home address.
- Revoke access. If you stop using the bot, disconnect it in your account settings.
The bot gets access to your account, so connect it only if you trust its developer.
Who it fits
Travelers, food walkers, and anyone who keeps a personal map of places. If you spend your day in Telegram anyway, this bot saves a few taps.
If check-ins are not your thing and you dislike sharing your location, skip it. The bot is narrow and solves one task 😊.
