SaveOFF: Save Videos by Link

Spotted a funny clip or a useful tutorial in your feed, and there is no download button? SaveOFF takes the link to a video from a social network and sends the file straight into your Telegram chat. The bot says it supports several popular platforms for short and long videos. 📥

By the bot's own count, more than two million people use it, so this is far from a newcomer.

Link in, file out

The idea is simple: copy the link to a clip, send it to the bot, wait for the reply. The video or audio arrives as a message, and you can save the file to your gallery or forward it.

1. Tap /start. The bot greets you and explains what to do.
2. Copy the link. In the social app, that is under "Share".
3. Send it to the chat. The video comes back within seconds.
4. Save the file. Open the message menu and choose save.

Four commands

• /start. Launches the bot.
• /profile. Opens your profile inside the bot.
• /lang. Changes the interface language.
• /help. Hints on how it works.

The bot's description is written in Russian and English, so you can pick the language that suits you.

Video or audio only

The bot can download both video and audio. Handy when you want only the music or voice from a clip: a podcast, a lecture, the track from a short video.

Quality depends on the source. If the author uploaded a low-resolution video, the bot cannot improve it.

Rights and privacy

A downloaded video is still someone else's work. For private viewing that is usually fine, but reposting it without the author's permission is not: the clip has a rights holder, and the platform has rules.

Private accounts and hidden clips are generally out of reach for bots like this, because they have no access to what is hidden from strangers. Never send passwords or login codes to "open" such a video.

When a download fails

• Check the link. It must point to a specific clip, not a profile.
• Try again later. Platforms change their protection, and downloads can be down for a few hours.
• Try another format. If video fails, ask for audio.
• Contact support. /help shows where to go.

The appeal of a downloader like this is that you install nothing extra: it all happens inside the messenger you already use. Paid features and download limits are shown in the bot, and we do not quote them here.
