RecVPN: a budget VPN in Telegram

Need a VPN on your phone and laptop but don't want to deal with websites, sign-ups and confusing plans? RecVPN squeezes it all into a Telegram chat: you start the bot, get access and connect your device. ⚡

The bot runs as a Mini App. Its profile mentions a price from 99 rubles, ad blocking and a trial period. Here is how it works and what to look at when choosing a VPN.

What RecVPN promises

From the project description: a fast VPN at a low price, with no restrictions and ad blocking up to 98%. The bot helps you connect on any device, and the trial period, according to the authors, is activated right away.

• Price. Stated as from 99 rubles.
• Ads. Ad filtering is part of the service, up to 98% according to the developers.
• Devices. Connection works on different platforms, and the bot guides the setup.
• Support. Help is available through a separate contact listed in the profile.

Connecting in a few minutes

1. Open the bot and press /start.
2. Pick your device: phone, computer, tablet.
3. Receive the connection details and install a suitable VPN client.
4. Paste the data and switch the connection on.
5. Check that the sites you need open and the speed suits you.

If something fails, message support and attach a screenshot of the error. It speeds up the reply. 🔧

Ad blocking: what to expect

Filtering at the VPN level usually cuts advertising domains and trackers at the request stage. Pages load a bit faster and use less traffic.

It will not remove 100% of ads, though. Ads baked into videos or inside apps can remain, which is normal for any filter of this kind.

What to check before paying

Cheap VPN bots differ in their terms. Find them out before you pay.

• Term. How long the price lasts and what happens when it ends.
• Device count. How many simultaneous connections are allowed.
• Limits. If traffic or speed is capped.
• Refunds. If you can get money back if the service does not fit.

Using the trial well

A trial exists so you can test the service in your own conditions, and not on paper. Check speed at peak hours, video playback and the sites you actually need.

Test on your own provider and mobile internet, since results differ from person to person. Pay only after that. 🧪

VPN and privacy: realistic expectations

A VPN hides your traffic from your internet provider and changes your visible IP, but it does not make you invisible. The VPN operator technically sees where you go, so reputation matters.

Do not use a VPN to break rules where that violates your country's law, and do not enter passwords on suspicious sites even with the connection on. 🔒
