About this App
Someone sent you a three-minute voice message and you cannot listen right now: a metro car, a meeting, a quiet night. 🎧 Voix reads it for you. Forward the recording to the bot and you get text back.
It works in an ordinary Telegram chat, with no website sign-up and no separate software. Send the file, wait a moment, read the result.
What you can send
Voix recognizes speech in several formats, which covers most everyday situations:
- Voice messages. The most common case: forward a recording from any dialog.
- Video notes. The round video messages work too.
- Audio files. Formats such as MP3 and WAV fit, for example a lecture or an interview.
- Video files. MP4 and MOV: the soundtrack becomes text.
If you need the full text and not a fragment, send the recording uncut.
How it goes in practice
- Open the bot and press /start.
- Pick the recognition language if the bot offers a choice.
- Forward a voice message, video note or file.
- Wait while the neural network processes the recording, then receive the text in chat.
Longer recordings take longer. Short voice messages usually come back quickly. ⏱️
Seven languages and the /lang command
The bot recognizes speech in seven languages. You can change the language with /lang at any moment.
This matters. If the selected language does not match the speech, the output turns into random words. Switch the language first when you send a recording in a foreign tongue.
The other commands are simple: /description shows the bot description, and /contact lets you send feedback or report a problem.
Getting an accurate transcript
Recording quality affects the result more than the bot itself. A few habits help a lot:
- Noise. Background music, street sound and room echo raise the number of errors.
- Speaking pace. Rapid speech and swallowed word endings are recognized worse than an even delivery.
- Several voices. When people talk over each other, the text comes out tangled.
- Terms and names. Rare words and surnames should be checked by eye.
Treat the transcript as a draft. Skim it before quoting it or passing it on. ✍️
Size limits and privacy
Telegram lets bots download files up to 20 MB. For a long recording, cut it into parts or compress the video and keep the sound.
Think about what you upload, too. Voice notes from private chats, work calls and recordings with client data go through third-party processing. Check storage and privacy details inside the bot, and do not send anything you would not want strangers to hear. 🔐
Who benefits
People who get many voice messages and dislike listening to them. Students who need lecture notes. Journalists and bloggers who must turn an interview into text quickly. Anyone who is hard of hearing or stuck in a noisy place.
Proofread before publishing. The bot writes speech as it hears it, not as written grammar would have it.
