About this App
Not everyone reads long posts. Some people are commuting, some are driving, some simply like to listen. Readol takes the text from your channel and turns it into a voice message. 🎙️
It is a bot and mini app for channel owners. The profile describes it as automatic voice-over of posts, a custom voice style and autoposting to the channel.
Three features from the profile
The service is built around three tasks that it names itself.
- Auto voice-over. New channel posts become audio without manual recording.
- Custom voice branding. You can pick or set up a voice that your audience comes to recognize.
- Autoposting. The finished audio is published to the channel on its own.
Details such as supported languages and the number of voices are best checked inside the bot, which has a separate command describing the voices.
What the bot menu tells you
The command list shows how the work is organized. It is a regular channel control panel.
- /start. Launch and first look.
- /dashboard. A summary for the selected channel.
- /manage_channels. Your channels; you can connect several.
- /balance. A balance, which suggests voice-over draws on an internal account.
- /my_voices and /about_voices. Your voices and a guide to them.
- /set_interface_language and /help. Interface language and support.
Why a channel might want sound
Audio gives a channel another format. A subscriber who will not open a long article can listen to it over coffee or on the way to work.
For news, reviews and educational texts that is especially handy. For short memes and pictures, voice-over is nearly useless.
A good habit is to keep the text next to the audio. Some people read, others listen, and each can choose what suits them.
What to check before connecting
The bot works with your channel, so it needs admin rights. Grant only what publishing requires.
- Voice quality. Synthesized speech sometimes stresses the wrong syllable and stumbles on abbreviations, numbers and names. Listen to a sample before a full launch.
- Cost. Since there is a balance, voice-over is billed. Read the terms in the bot before connecting a channel that posts often.
- Control. With autoposting on, audio goes out without your review. For important posts, start with a mode where you hear the result first.
Writing posts that sound good
The AI reads what is written, so short and even text helps.
Long sentences with strings of parentheses sound heavy. Emoji and links mean nothing in audio. Write numbers and abbreviations out in words where you can.
If your channel runs in several languages, test how the bot reads each one. Pronunciation of a second language is often weaker than the first.
Rights and honesty with your audience
Voice only your own texts or ones you have permission to use. If the channel uses a synthetic voice, say so: subscribers appreciate directness, and some countries are already introducing labeling rules for synthetic content.
Cloning someone else's voice without consent is wrong ethically and legally. For your own voice style, use your own voice or those the service itself offers.
