About this App
A contract has to be stitched from three files, a photo of lecture notes should become a tidy document, and a PDF is too heavy for email. Installing a heavy program for a single operation feels wrong.
PDF Bot handles these jobs right inside Telegram: you send a file, you get the result. 📄
Where to begin
Tap Start and type /help. The bot shows how to use it. The language changes with /setlang, and if you change your mind in the middle of an operation, /cancel helps.
Every action follows one principle: you choose a command, send the files and the bot returns a finished document.
Commands from the menu
- /merge. Combine several PDFs into one.
- /compare. Compare two PDFs and find the differences in text.
- /image. Improve a photo, such as a snapshot of a page, and turn it into a PDF.
- /text. Create a PDF from text you send.
- /watermark. Add a watermark to the pages.
- /support. Support the project's author.
- /feedback. Send a wish or report an error.
According to bot directories there are other operations too: compression, splitting, rotation, encryption, extracting images and text. See /help for the full list.
Jobs it handles
- Submit documents as one file. Passport scans, certificates and an application come together with /merge.
- Tidy up notes. Photos of notebook pages become a readable PDF.
- Find edits in a contract. /compare shows how two versions differ.
- Mark a document. A watermark shows to whom and when a file was issued.
What to know about privacy
A file you send to a bot is processed on someone else's server. For recipes, study material and public documents that is fine, but passports, contracts and financial papers should not be forwarded.
If a document is confidential, use a local program on your own computer. If you cannot avoid the bot, cover personal data before sending. 🔒
Open code and support
The bot was created by an independent developer, there is an official project channel, and the /support command is for those who want to help it grow. The project has open source code that you can inspect yourself, which adds transparency.
Report an error or suggest an idea through /feedback, so the developer receives your message directly.
When a bot beats a program
On a phone, with a small job to finish fast, the bot wins: nothing to install or search for. The file is already in the chat, the command is one, and the result comes back to the same place.
For regular work with large documents and complex layout a full editor suits better. The bot shines on short jobs on the go: merge, compress, add a watermark, build a PDF from snapshots.
Tips for working with files
- Size. The messenger limits the weight of uploaded files. A PDF that is too big has to be trimmed first.
- Page order. Before merging, check the order of the files, since it sets the page order.
- Photo quality. Shoot in good light and straight from above, and /image will give a clean result.
- File names. Give clear names so you can find the document in the chat later.
