About this App
In a chat of five hundred people, spam and arguments show up faster than an admin can spot them. Nyomi takes over the routine of moderation: bans, warnings, pins, anti-flood and roles for helpers all live in one bot. 🛡
The bot has over fifty commands, so we will walk through the ones you need first.
Where to start in a new group
Add the bot to your group and give it administrator rights: without them it cannot delete messages or restrict members. Then open settings with /settings or /pvtconfig to manage them in a private chat with the bot.
- Add the bot to the group and make it an admin.
- Open /settings and choose the rules you need.
- Use /rules to set group rules so members can read them.
- Appoint helpers and split up the roles.
The /lang command changes the bot language, and /backup saves a copy of your settings. That helps if you move the group.
Penalties step by step
The set of sanctions is flexible, from a gentle warning to a ban. Each action has a variant that also deletes the message, so the offense does not stay in the feed.
- /warn and /unwarn give and remove warnings, and /warns shows the count.
- /mute and /unmute take away and restore a member's ability to write.
- /kick removes a member from the group, while /ban and /unban ban and unban.
- /delban, /delkick, /delwarn, /delmute do the same and delete the message.
- /purge wipes messages up to the last one sent.
Roles instead of one all-powerful admin
Not every helper needs full access. Nyomi has separate roles: cofounder, admin, moderator, muter, cleaner and helper. They are assigned with commands such as /admin, /mod, /muter, /cleaner and /helper.
That way you can trust one person only with deleting messages and another only with temporary restrictions. The narrower the rights, the smaller the damage if a helper makes a mistake or gets hacked. 👮
Pins, anti-flood and quiet mode
Five pin commands cover almost every case: /pin, /spin (silent), /editpin, /repin and /unpinall. You can view the current pinned message with /pinned.
The /antiflood command sets protection against floods of repeated messages. If a fight breaks out, /silence switches on global quiet mode and /unsilence turns it off. With /block you can ban GIFs and stickers.
Small extras for members
- /info shows details about a member.
- /me sends your status in a private chat.
- /staff lists the group's staff.
- /translate translates a message.
- /link and /chatid show the group link and chat identifier.
/help lists the rest, and /send lets you post in the group as the bot. 📌
What admins should keep in mind
A bot with these rights is a powerful tool, so add it only from a trusted source and check the name. Do not hand rights to third parties who message you privately offering to "set up protection".
Automation does not replace a human. Test your rules in a small group and tell members what leads to penalties: that way you will have fewer disputed bans.
