My Instants Bot: Sounds for Chats

bot • Stickers, Emoji & GIF

About this App

Need a drum roll at just the right moment, or the famous line from a meme? My Instants Bot searches a large online collection of sound buttons and sends the result to your chat as a voice message. 🔊

It works in inline mode: you do not open a separate dialog, you call the bot from the message field in any chat.

A sound in three seconds

Begin your message with the bot's name, add a space and type a query in English: fail, applause, laugh, sad violin. Telegram shows a list of matching sounds. Tap one, and it goes to the chat.

This works in private chats, groups and channels. Nothing to download or forward by hand. 🎯

The five commands

  • /start launches the bot and shows where to begin.
  • /help gives usage instructions.
  • /info tells you about the project itself.
  • /upload helps you add your own sound to the collection.
  • /cancel stops an upload you started.

Searching so that things turn up

The collection is mostly English, so English queries work better than Russian ones. A few search habits help:

  1. Type short words, not whole phrases.
  2. Try meme and character names rather than descriptions of the sound.
  3. If nothing shows up, swap the word for a synonym: laugh, giggle, haha.
  4. For effects, use plain words: boom, door, bell.

Adding a sound of your own

The /upload command lets you put a sound into the shared collection for others to use. Prepare a short file with a clean recording and little noise.

Remember that what you upload becomes available to many people. Do not post other people's recordings without permission, and keep anything personal, like conversations or friends' voices, out of it. 🎙️

Scenes where a sound beats words

A friend promised to arrive on time and is an hour late: instead of a reproach, send a dramatic orchestra sting. A friendly group celebrates a win: applause and fanfare fit.

In gaming chats, sounds replace long replies. One short effect conveys an emotion faster than a paragraph. 🎮

But keep a sense of measure. Three or four sounds a day read as humor, ten in a row as spam. If your partner is not answering with laughter, stop.

Podcasters and streamers may find ideas for delivery here, but put other people's sounds into finished videos only after checking the rights to them.

Open code and trust

The author published the bot's source code. That means anyone can read what it does and even run their own copy by creating a bot and enabling inline mode for it.

For a search bot this openness is a plus: it needs no access to your data, only the text of your query.

When a sound fits

A sound joke works in a friendly chat where everyone is waiting for a reaction. In work groups and big channels, save it: loud audio distracts people who did not ask for noise. 📵

More than eleven thousand people use the bot every month. If you like memes and lively reactions, try one query and see what turns up.
